Two sacraments, Holy Orders and Matrimony, confer a special grace for a particular mission in the Church to serve and build up the People of God. These sacraments contribute in a special way to ecclesial communion and to the salvation of others.
The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time. The one priesthood of Christ is made present in the ministerial priesthood.
In the past three years, 5 men have gone on to seminary. There are many other men AND women in the process of discerning whether the Lord is calling them to the Religious Life.
Women discerning a call to Religious Life are invited to be a part of Ravisher of Hearts, while men meet frequently with our Chaplain. Many events throughout the year (retreats, discernment nights, etc.) are planned to help facilitate the process.
